DayZ Chernarus Map — Loot & Events

Straight from the mission files of DayZ: which buildings hold loot comes from mapgroupproto.xml and mapgrouppos.xml, the tier and usage zones from areaflags.map, and which items can appear in them from types.xml. Nothing here is entered by hand.

Tiers describe how far inland and how dangerous an area is. Tier 1 covers the coast with basic gear, tiers 2 and 3 the countryside and towns, tier 4 the northern military zones with the strongest loot. Unique marks special places whose loot exists nowhere else on the map.

Both are dynamic events. The possible positions come from cfgeventspawns.xml and the amount and respawn timing from events.xml — the map shows every position a server using vanilla files can use, not a live view of the current server.

Most maps show places and points of interest. This one is generated from the real economy files, so you can search an item and see the buildings where it can actually spawn, along with its tier and the zone it belongs to.

Yes. Sign in and you can place markers for stashes, bases, vehicles or danger zones, draw routes and areas, and measure distance and bearing between two points. Create a group, pass the invite code to your squad, and everyone sees every change live, including a map chat and who is currently looking at the map. Stash markers can carry an expiry date so you get warned before a buried crate despawns. Groups without any activity for 180 days are deleted.
