After every DayZ update Bohemia publishes new vanilla mission files. These pages compare each release with the one before and list what is new, what is gone and which values changed, for Chernarus, Livonia and Sakhal.

As soon as they are public, the full comparison appears here.The Mission Updater adds every missing vanilla entry to your mission folder. Your own values and your mod entries stay untouched.
Each page compares the vanilla mission files of one release with the files before it. New means the entry did not exist before, removed means it is gone, and changed shows the value before and after.
The comparison runs per map. A change that is identical on Chernarus, Livonia and Sakhal is shown once. If the values differ, each map gets its own line.
Follow-up updates within a version get their own page, because Bohemia often rebalances the loot weeks after a release.
If you run the unchanged vanilla mission, the update brings the new files with it. If you edited your files or your hoster keeps your own mission folder, the new entries are not added for you. New items then have no entry in types.xml and do not spawn as loot until you add them.
Upload your mission folder to the Mission Updater. It compares your files with the current vanilla files, adds only the entries you are missing and leaves your values, your order and your mod entries exactly as they are.
Every map has its own mission folder with its own types.xml, and Bohemia balances each one separately. That is why a change can apply to Chernarus only, or use a different nominal on Livonia and Sakhal.
